Update from Dairy land

Well, the drive from Utah to Wisconsin was a long one. We hit some pretty rough weather in Iowa but we made it here in one piece! Christmas was wonderful of course. My family is small but we all have our own little personalities that make for a fun time.

A couple nights ago I hit a deer! I guess you're not really in Wisconsin until you hit one :) My husband and I were driving back to my parents house when we were driving on this road that is notorious for having a lot of deer. It flew into the ditch on the other side. I was more concerned for the deer than my car! I didn't kill it because it was struggling to get up on its feet and the next day when we drove by the same spot it was gone. I didn't get a good look at my car until the next day.

We were pretty lucky that it didn't smash into our windshield. This is one of the many reasons why I love Honda and Toyota!

So we took our car into a shop and they don't want us to drive on a highway because the hood might fly up. So I guess we'll be staying here longer than we originally planned. I'll blog again when I know for sure when we'll be home in Utah.

Have a fun New Years everyone!

P.S Our cute blue Honda Fit. I love this car!

Preview-Becca and Tyler

Hey family and friends of Becca and Tyler, here's a sneek peek for you!

I am home! Jonathan and I decided to drive all the way from Vegas to Salt Lake. We got home at about 5:30 am but I don't regret it! Now we are going to get our dogs from doggie daycare and go straight to Wisconsin for the holidays. I will blog about Becca and Tyler's wedding when I get back. This wedding has to be my favorite of the year. It was just perfect!

My email is now working again so email away! I will not have email access for a few days though but I will have my cell on me(801.885.4032).

Happy Holidays everyone!

Out of town!

I hope everyone is having a great holiday! I'm proud to announce that I am done with my Christmas shopping. I had to get it done fast this year since I had to ship all my gifts to my parents house in Wisconsin(to save room in our car!). My husband, me AND all three of our dogs are driving all the way over there for the holidays in our cute Honda Fit. That should be a very interesting drive!

But my Christmas vaca hasn't started yet! I still have Becca and Tyler's wedding to do on Friday in St George and Vegas. I'm so excited! I will be out of town from tomorrow the 20th to sometime in the first week of January. I will be making a stop in Salt Lake to pick up our babies from the doggie daycare and will have about 5 minutes to post one photo from Becca and Tyler's wedding so you guys can at least see something before next year.

I just want to thank all my 2007 clients as well. You have made this year incredible and I'm so happy that I was able to know all of you. And to all of you brides and grooms who have booked me for next year, thank you as well and I'm so looking forward to working with you all. Next year is going to be marvelous!

Happy Holidays!

Cassie and Chris

On Wednesday my husband and I drove down to Spanish Fork for Cassie and Chris's wedding at the Chillon Reception Center. Cassie told me at our first meeting that her grandmother was married there and she so wanted to be married there as well. It was a very simple ceremony followed by delicious food and greeting guests. They had so many people come to wish them well and its no surprise because Cassie and Chris are both extremely nice and laid back. I'm so glad they chose me to photograph their big day!

They had a horse-drawn carriage take them off as their grand exit. I love that!

Lyndsie and Trent Wedding

On Tuesday I headed over to Heritage Gardens to photograph Lyndsie and Trent's wedding. That place was so perfect for their wedding and had a huge Christmas Tree in one room. One of my favorite photos is the one of Lyndsie's dad looking up at Lyndsie as she was walking down the stairs for the ceremony. It makes me want to cry!

Puppies in the snow

Something about dogs playing in the snow makes me so happy. We took these yesterday after our attempt at a family pic.

Danny, my sweet, galoot mut

Billy(aka Blarf boy, aka bilbo)

Since Dinah is the hardest to take a picture of I just had one with her. I love my little girl.

Happy Holidays!

Our very, very sad attempt at a family picture. The one we took last year was much better but I needed an updated one to include our newest baby, Danny. Two dogs is much easier to handle than three! *by the way we did this with a tripod all by ourselves! I don't recommend it. You can totally tell Jonathan is thrilled!*

I just had to do it today since the snow is so pretty and I prefer snow family photos over colorful leaves.

Next year we'll probably invest in a photographer ;)

Happy Holidays from the Wheelers: Jonathan, Anna, Dinah, Billy and Danny.

Midnight Snow

Up late again tonight. Looked out the window and saw that it was snowing. It has rained for the past couple days so seeing the snow made me happy. In my pjs, I put on my jacket and grabbed my camera and went outside. I could have stayed out there for hours.

I never felt more at peace. This is why I love December!

Goodnight...
