Exciting!

I was happy to see a package at our door from my favorite photo store B+H Photo and Video when my husband and I got back from our trip a week or so ago. I was smitten with this lens since I first heard about it and had to get it! I've used it at a couple shoots and one wedding and I'm in LOVE!

Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G

This lens is something that I've needed for awhile. It's great for small spaces and dancing shots since its so wide. Also, I can finally take a shot like this...

I never could do that with my other lenses. I probably could have, but it wouldn't look as neat! I know that shot is "overdone" but I still think its cool!

I had to get out this lens for this shot as well. I had no room to move back and really wanted lots of space for the photo. I'm so glad I had this lens for this shot! It's one of my favorites!

Stacy and Nathan Wedding

Thursday was a beautiful day for a wedding. The temple grounds are gorgeous this time of year! Stacy and Nathan did things a little differently for their wedding. The night before they had a BBQ in Stacy's backyard. The day of the wedding they had a small brunch at the Market Street Grill followed by their sealing at the Temple in the afternoon. Both Nathan and Stacy's families were so happy the whole day. It was really touching to see Nathan and his sister hug right after Stacy and Nathan got out of the temple. One of the reasons why I love my job!

Stacy and Nathan are enjoying their honeymoon in Spain! So jealous!

Stacy and Nathan preview

Stacy and Nathan had a BBQ/reception on Wednesday in Stacy's backyard. It was raining the whole day and then started to stop as soon as I arrived to take pictures. Stacy and Nathan were married the next day at the Salt Lake Temple. Pictures from that will be coming tomorrow!

Jacquee and Kurt

I shot Jacquee and Kurt's engagements on Tuesday. They really wanted pictures at the Great Salt Lake. We had fun getting our shoes and feet dirty and of course had tons of fun with the millions of bugs that were biting us near the end of the shoot. Whenever I shoot at the Great Salt Lake, it is definetly an experience :) Jacquee and Kurt handled everything extremely well and we all had a blast. They are getting married on the popular 08/08/08 date in Salt Lake and I'm so excited to shoot with them again!

Andrea and Tyson

On Monday after we flew in from Wisconsin, my husband and I hung out with Andrea and Tyson for their engagements. What an awesome couple! Tyson was so laid back the whole time and Andrea was glowing in her stunning yellow dress. So cute! It seemed like whatever they did looked fabulous!
