Jonathan and I went to Murry to visit our friends, Rebecca and Ryan and their adorable little girl, Lydia. I was thrilled to finally photograph a little girl since I have so many nephews and all of my nieces are either across the country(North Carolina) or across the world(Germany). I don't do family portraits often, but photographing this little family may make me want to shoot families more! :)

Rachel and Will Wedding
Another beautiful wedding. Jonathan and I had a wonderful time in Oakland, California last week. The weather was gorgeous, the people were great and everything seemed to go smoothly for this wedding. Rachel and Will were a joy to work with and they were so relaxed about everything.
Have a fun honeymoon in the Caribbean!

Danny
A few weeks ago my husband and I decided to find out what kind of dog Danny really is. For those of you who don't know, we have three dogs. We adopted Danny last year in April and have two miniature dachshunds, Dinah and Bill. We always thought Danny was a bassett hound/rottweiler mix. Every time we go out and walk him, everyone that see's him thinks he's the cutest thing ever and ask confusingly what kind of dog he is. Everybody assumed he was part bassett hound(because he is short and long and has droopy jowls) and rottweiler(for the coloring).
We found Mule Hollow, a breed I.D test and sent in Danny's saliva swabs. A few weeks later, we got our results in the mail.
Danny is part Bassett Hound(we were right on that one), part Parson Russell Terrier and part Miniature Pinscher. He is not a rottweiler after all! We were totally surprised!
From the other information we were given, it seems like either Danny's mom or dad was a Parson Russell Terrier/Min Pin mix and the other parent was a Bassett Hound.
We are so glad we know exactly what our little "galoot" is. I'm also thrilled I don't have to tell people he is part Rottweiler because other people assume(I don't assume Rottweiler's are aggresive just because of their breed, FYI) he might be aggressive which is totally not Danny at all. Danny does not bite, ever! Even if we gave him a huge chunk of raw meat to him and took it back he would not bite or even growl at us. That's how sweet he is. I'm seriously surprised he wasn't adopted sooner.
If you own a mut and don't know exactly what kind of mix they are, visit www.mulehollow.com for more info.

Out of town
We'll be out of town from Wednesday, August 13th through Saturday, August 16th. All emails will be answered when we get back and we will have our phones with us. We're flying to Oakland, California for Rachel and Will's wedding. I cannot wait to blog about their wedding we we get back to Utah!
Here are a couple engagement pictures that I took way back in March in Madison, Wisconsin of Erin and Matt. I just did their wedding on July 25th. I finally got my holga film developed and was pleasantly surprised to find these. So cute!

Jackie and Kurt
08.08.08. One of the most popular days of the year to get married. I'm so glad I was chosen to photograph Jackie and Kurt on their day. They had a very beautiful ceremony inside Heritage Gardens followed by lots of food and dancing. Their cake had to be one of my most favorites! I loved Jackies dress that had pleats. How I adore pleats!!
